A group of Jaish-e-Mohammad militants gave slip to security forces on the outskirts of Srinagar after an operation was launched against them tonight. Security forces tonight received information about presence of around three militants of JeM in Ontabawan area of Srinagar. As they reached the spot they were fired at and militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Security forces cordoned off Ontabawan and conducted house to house searches but no militants were found. This is for the second time in last 10 days that militants slipped out the cordon in Srinagar. On January 13, two militants gave slip to security forces in Lal Bazar area.
